Thoughtful
landscaping and mass planting of hundreds of indigenous flowers,
herbs and shrubs, as well as sub-tropical palms and yuccas
have made it the prettiest and most colourful park in Ceredigion.
Wild flowers grow in harmony with the planted environment
and there is an abundance of butterflies and birds. The garden,
as well as the ever-increasing variety of wildlife has ensured
that every year, since 1999, the park has achieved the David
Bellamy Gold Conservation Award.
In
addition, the Wales Tourist Board has consistently awarded
a 5-Star grading with a 100% mark for cleanliness of caravans
and park grounds. At the end of every season, every caravan
is overhauled and, if necessary, re-carpeted and re-upholstered.
All equipment is checked, and renewed where necessary. Everything
possible is done to make your stay comfortable and good value
for money. (See Price List)
The
park is situated on the hill overlooking Borth. It is within
walking distance of the beach and shops, yet is private, quiet
and peaceful. In a sheltered, south-facing corner, there is
a small adventure playground with picnic tables for tired
parents. There are bird feeding tables and nest boxes in the
shrubberies, attracting a host of small birds and, in recent
years, the sight of the red kite flying overhead has become
more common. There is literature available to enable children
to identify the wildlife on the park itself as well as on
the seashore and surrounding countryside.
